The classic holiday film “Miracle on 34th Street” (1947) is set in Macy’s 34th Street flagship store. This classic 1947 Hollywood film  proved once and for all that Macy’s is the home of the one true Santa Claus.

Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade has marched down Broadway each Thanksgiving since 1924, except for 1942-44 when the nation was at war. Started by employees, this beloved holiday tradition originally featured live animals from the Central Park Zoo.
